The "good news" alarms (as opposed to most of Observer's alarms, which usually trigger on problem events) are provided for wireless site preparation and survey. By roaming with a laptop running Observer with the thresholds set appropriately, the computer can be configured to sound an audible alarm when the Observer system is in an area with acceptible signal strength and quality.
